Exam Board & Format
North Halifax Grammar School selects pupils through the Halifax Grammar Schools’ Admissions Test, set by FSCE (Future Stories Community Enterprise) and shared through a joint admissions process between The Crossley Heath School and North Halifax Grammar School, so a child registers and sits one test for both schools. The test has three elements – English, Mathematics and Creative Writing – with the English and Maths papers age-standardised and the Creative Writing assessed for candidates who reach the required standard.
