Admissions Number
Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School has a Published Admission Number of 174 places for Year 7, of which around 157 are allocated using the main oversubscription criteria and up to 17 are governor places for the highest-scoring girls in the named parishes. The school is regularly oversubscribed, so a qualifying Kent Test score combined with the Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School admissions criteria determines who is offered a place.
Catchment Area
The Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School catchment area gives priority to girls who live within a four-mile radius of the school, including parts of East Sussex, or in a list of named parishes such as Brenchley, Capel, East Peckham, Horsmonden, Lamberhurst, Paddock Wood and Pembury. Entry is based first on a qualifying Kent Test score, where qualifying applicants exceed places, priority follows looked-after children, Pupil Premium girls, siblings, health and special access reasons, the named parishes and four-mile area, and then distance from the school.
