11 Plus Tuition for Friends' School Lisburn

Friends' School Lisburn was founded in 1774 by the Religious Society of Friends, originally as the Ulster Provincial School. It is the only Quaker school in Northern Ireland and a co-educational voluntary grammar school in Lisburn, County Antrim.

Admission to Year 8 is based on the SEAG Entrance Assessment, with the school then applying its own published admissions criteria to the results. Parents apply through the Education Authority post-primary transfer process, naming Friends' School Lisburn.

Friends' School Lisburn uses the SEAG Entrance Assessment, the single transfer test used across Northern Ireland. It consists of two papers covering English and Maths, sat on Saturday, 14th November 2026 (Paper 1) and Saturday, 21st November 2026 (Paper 2).

No. While Friends' School Lisburn has a Quaker foundation and its values underpin school life, it warmly welcomes pupils of all faiths and none. Admission is based on the SEAG Entrance Assessment and the school’s published criteria, not religious affiliation.

For 2027 entry, SEAG registration opens at 8am on Monday, 18th May 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on Friday, 18th September 2026. The two papers are sat on Saturday, 14th November 2026 and Saturday, 21st November 2026, with results on Saturday, 23rd January 2027.
