11 Plus Tuition for Skegness Grammar School

Skegness Grammar School is a co-educational selective grammar school in Skegness, Lincolnshire, that, unusually for a state grammar school, offers boarding as well as day places. It holds academy status and is sponsored by the David Ross Education Trust.

Skegness Grammar School has a Published Admission Number of around 120 places for Year 7 each year, with boarding places available in addition to day places. Thorough preparation for the Lincolnshire 11+ is important to give a child the best chance of a place.

Skegness Grammar School uses the Lincolnshire Consortium 11+, provided by GL Assessment. It tests reasoning only – a Verbal Reasoning paper and a Non-Verbal & Spatial Reasoning paper, both multiple-choice – with no Maths, English or creative writing. The papers are sat on Saturday 12th and Saturday 19th September 2026.

Skegness Grammar School does not operate a fixed catchment area for day places, and there is no catchment requirement for boarding applicants. After the qualifying standard and priority groups, day places are allocated to children living closest to the school, so location matters most for day applicants.

The Verbal Reasoning test is on Saturday 12th September 2026 and the Non-Verbal & Spatial Reasoning test on Saturday 19th September 2026. Registration closes at the end of June 2026; one registration covers any of the Lincolnshire consortium grammar schools.
